I have recently noticed that my characters ( that were converted from ladder season #1 to soft core ) are showing that they are "ladder" when they are actually "softcore".  This happens on mine, and many other authors bot's.  However, Diablo II Client shows that my characters are indeed Non Ladder, anyone have any Information on this bug?

Note: I Have let several other people on my account, they have all had the same problem.

Thank you SO VERY MUCH for your help.

Perhaps you might post the statstrings (with hexdump) before and after they become ex-ladder characters?

How am i supposed to do that?

EDIT: This was Season #1 ladder, i don't have a packetlog from than.

UserLoser suggested that this bug was only from Season #1 ladder, since it was blizzard's *first* ladder reset.

If your client disagrees with Diablo II, then it's probably not a bug in this case.

Diablo II Client shows the characters as a Expansion Character

The Bitwise combinations for the ladder/softcore/expansion/hardcore flags Show that my character is a Expansion Ladder.

Sorry if this is confusing, i really am not good at explaining my thoughts.

Let me do a little packetlogging, i'll show my Results.

EDIT: PacketLog

BaDDBLooD, BaDD, Eurijk are the three characters that were Expansion Ladder, that were converted to Expansion Non Ladder; That show up as Expansion Ladder.

The rest are all Non Ladder Expansion characters that i created, Which show up as Expansion Non Ladder.

So, there's probably some 'ex-ladder character' flag?  Start making comparisons between ex-ladder and ladder character statstrings?

I beleive it is, or might be, atleast.  I went on his account on my client (Which we all know is right about these things :)), and showed several of his characters are ladder, but Blizzard's Diablo II client didn't.  BNCS says they're ladder, too, in the statstrings.

I've always seen this... I just assumed there was a new bitwise comparison for ladder characters from season two.
