*I make no claim I know the awnser or even to have made the problem up, they are just posted as is, for you to figure out, for fun.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Emanuel finds himself in space, floating exactly one million kilometers away from his space ship. He is able to travel 1000 km per ml of fuel he uses from his rocket pack. If the volume of his rocket pack's tank,in cubic centimeters, can be found by rotating the function around the x-axis on the interval (0,6), how much fuel does it hold. Will he have enough fuel to get back to his ship?

It doesn't matter how much it holds, as long as it holds some. In space, there is no (significant) other force acting upon Emanuel, so as long as he points himself towards the ship and there are no major cosmological bodies in the way, any amount will get him back to his ship.

Haha that is a good point! I didn't catch that.

What about the new "Mysterious Force Effects Pioneer 10 & 11 Probes" discovery :P

You presumably missed the definition of how much fuel is needed per km travelled that could be found in the question. Apparently there are some small forces acting upon him.
