There are fake E-MAils going around.

If you click on the LINK it will open a FAKE PAYPAL Site and ask you to reenter all your Information including Creditcard , Password and PIN.

THIS IS A SPOOF AND A FAKE.

PayPal also never adresses you by the E-MAIL Adress you are registered with , theyre MAils always start:
DEAR * First and Last Name*

I called PayPals Support Number and asked them how my Account could be used by 3rd Party and they told me right away to change my PASSWORD and nott fillin any Information of Bank or Creditcard.

Just wanted to pass this along to all the Members using PayPal.

I think I got scammed yesterday. Somebody said, "Damnit, I'm short $3 on paypal, now I have to write a cheque" and I said, "I'll send it to you!" and I sent it. Social engineering sucks :(

If someone ask me for paypal money like GoSu I say nicely fuck off, or I dont have any money in the account and run!

I cnat believe people are actually fooled by these, what with all the warnings sites put up about dodgy e-mails.

I cancelled my PayPal account while I still had my money. PayPal is notorious for locking accounts with money in them for almost any reason, then setting up impossible layers of obstruction to get your money back. Most people just give up and let them keep the money. It is well documented by ex-employees and people who were ripped off.

Thats why i never actually 'put' money into paypal.. i just use eChecks lol.

But yeah, that's how paypal makes there money, sad but yes :\

That wouldn't have happened if you were in the States and the guy was forced to spell it "check." The "que" makes it all attractive to his plight for you :P

Bah! I've used Pay Pal for 4 years without problems.

Actually, the test is pretty straightforward. The only thing you needed to know was whether or not the links pointed to where they claimed to point. Often it was just one invalid link, which is how I determine whether or not an email is fraudulant. Never been scammed yet :P

I keep forgetting that Windows / IE users need to examine every link before they actually click on it. I like to go to the questionable site right away so I can see the goodies and enjoy exploring their security.

My account was limited and I have been trying to get it back for 2 months now, I figured they just hated me.
