Hi, am looking for the best 3D designer for my needs, which is fantasy scenery and animals, I'd like the graphics to be stunning not cartoonish like WarCraft 3, if you have any tips, I'd appreciate it.

Note: I don't care if it's free or not.

Funny thread. I thought he was looking for a person too.

I use 3D Studio MAX 6 and Maya 5 for creating animated movies and such. Blizzard uses 3D Studio for creating Warcraft3 unit models. It probably looks "cartoonish" because not much detail goes into the texture maps, and limited polygons on the models to save memory. Warcraft series gameplay has always looked cartoonish anyway -- maybe it's on purpose? 3D Studio is capable of doing much more than what you see, however.

Edit: Note these software require skill. Don't expect to produce this by the end of the day after first picking up 3D Studio.

Not to mention the skill involved, most of those programs come with a BIG price tag.

Ok but can 3D studio create images like the one you provided in your message or was that made by somthing else?
