I've gotten this error three out of three times while trying to burn a 700mb iso in Fireburner. I've never had this kind of problem before and it seems that everything goes OK until I get this error (in bold) any idea what this is?

A CD is organized in sectors like a harddrive, it looks like sector 150 is corrupted, is this a CDRW or different CDs?

It's a imation CD-R. I just got a new pack today and took it off the stack, so it's not like it's scratched or anything.

Look and see if there is anything on the cd's. I bought a stack one time and every cd had this one crappy R&B song on it. Apparently some guy bought a stack, made the cd's, and decided to take them back to the store.

lol.... Hmm I have also bought a pack of Sony discs that said 800mb and through windows it says that they only have 400mb and will also not burn anymore than 400mb,

I've boughten a stack of CD's before as well and popped the first one off the stack in and it was some type of "cover disk" I was wondering why it looked so different from the rest, so I went to pop it in and bam it errored, after I dug down another disc or two I didn't have any issues.

Hrm. Have you gotten the Windows XP HighMAT CD burning wizard upgrade through Windows Update?

My iso is 700mb, and my disks are 700mb. Could that be a problem?

Yes and no. When burning audio cds, it has never been a problem with me but burning files it always has.

Suse Linux. I have an extra harddrive laying around, and even though I've only used Slackware, I figured I'd give Suse a try since thing basically swears by it. :P

You can get a free trial of nero form here:
http://www.nero.com/us/neroue-prog.php
and start the new disc wizard. Pick burn cd>other cd formats>creat a cd from an image format. I've never had a problem with nero and it might save some time just getting it and using it instead of trying to figure out what's wrong with the other one. Or you could just do a FTP install it's pretty simple.

If you suspect the image size might be a problem, try burning the basic setup ISO (~65mb?) that installs the packages you select at install time rather than putting them all on the CD.

I really don't think they would release it if it didn't work right though. They'd break it up into seperate iso's.
