Teenagers in real life are one thing, on the internet it's a whole seperate subject. I've found that this past year I've been more attracted (or atleast open minded) about younger girls, and more and more disgusted by the younger guys. I never really believed in that "girls mature faster than boys" thing until this year.

Dating Theory on High School/Teenagers: (This could apply in other fields aswell, I guess){This is from my point of view & from my experience using me as an example}

I was a junior last year, I wouldn't ever think about dating/going out with a junior because most of them, with a few exceptions, do not meet the same standards that I hold myself to. I find myself disappointed by juniors' maturity & "non-dumbness". I respect seniors because they are older & USUALLY as smart or smarter than I am, therefore I would consider them.

Sophmores & freshmen I hold to such low expectations they can't possibly disappoint me, making them acceptable for dating/friend purposes.

There are ways to do that, but I doubt you have the presence of mind to do it yourself.

Most teenagers alone are nothing, if you can seperate them from their friends they'll whimp out, and get beat down. Then they'll come back a few days later with 50 of their friends to "punk you off". I've seen gangs of about 50 meet at different places to settle something stupid, like one kid punched another, and they're going to go into an all out brawl because of this.

I've never been at the center of any of this, but always chosen the smaller side, usually with the asians. What's a fight if all you get to do is throw a single punch? ;D

The thing is, depending on the age of the "gangs" and the combatants, 99.5% of the time the show of force is just that, a show. A personal experience was a number of years ago I was cofronted by a guy, flanked by 5 of his friends, who wanted to "set me straight" after I "stole" his girlfriend. Of course these "homies" that "had his back" just kinda stood there after I got in "a few lucky punches" and had him down before some good samaratin stopped me. A score with another person is best settled man to man, not gang to gang, as most teenagers would have it.

And also about how teenagers always need to fight alone, about a week ago I was in the gym at my school and was on the side of the bleechers going through my bag. This big black guy (I don't know him) comes up to me (and by big I don't mean fat but tall..I'm 6'3 and he's taller than me) he pushed me and I thought he was just messing around since he was laughing. So as I'm walking back onto the bleechers where my friends were he pushed me again, so I figured he was serious so I turned around and he starts calling his friends over. Then the teacher walked in but eh. Also I was see 2 or 3 v1 fights on the sidewalk/in the school. It's pitiful.

Yeah I've seen "fights" where people run past a guy, while running past him hit him with a baseball bat and take off, I've seen people 2 on 1 others, I've seen like 5 on 1, it's pathetic. I started weight training this year, by next year I'll be pissed if I'm not among the biggest 3 in my school (height+strength wise I will be, but there are 1 or 2 kids shorter than my who are just as strong/stronger).

I'm counting on 3 vs me will be a fair fight next year.

Only fight I recall being in was fifth grade after school. We were just hanging out on the playground & this guys hit me in the eye, then I went psycho on his ass. It scared my friends 'cause I'm usually the dude to just stand there & say ow, but I guess being hit in the eye actually ticked me off enough. Everyone just stood there & watched, the way it should be.

Another time was a soccer fight. 2 guys started going @ it & everyone else just stood there & watched, leave it as even as possible.

Spht - I *think* it's one of Xar's friends who I met while I was staying with him, but I'm terrible at recognizing people so who knows? But anyway, he did exactly what I would have done, not gotten involved in the fight but tried to stay between xar/that other guy.

And Xar is 19 last week and 20 next week, but I'm not sure how old he is right at the moment :)

Ah I got in a fight in grade6, sort of. The guy and 2 of his friends got me in some trees where a teacher couldn't see and started yelling at me and crap, then one swung his fist, missed me, I punched him in the face, and they all came after me. I ran, got away without a scratch and never had a problem with them again.

I got in a fight last year with this kid who just won't stop talking shit and one day I cussed the shit out of him and I guess he decided to fight me, he got a cheap shot on my left jaw as I was turning around and about to walk away. My adrenaline came up and I don't really remembered every move or what happened but it didn't last that long. Only mark was from his nails on my nose and his lips were bleeding. I wasn't sure. He could've been a friend of the #604 guys that didn't want to get involved in the fight, and tried to break it up. I typically help a friend that's getting nailed by two guys, but maybe I'm just newfie.

When xar was beating on the fat guy, the Guy in Red (GiR from now on) was holding back the guy in blue. And then when the fat guy pulled the knife (or, when it became obvious he had it), the GiR kept between him and xar. Although he didn't get directly involved, he did try to stay between.

Because fighting cheap is what gets people "pop a cap in your ass". Around my school when a fight happens, usually alot of people know about it and we all go to this one clearing inside a forest to watch, people smoke, sometimes people bring drinks, it's great entertainment. But the loser has never once pulled a gun or a knife, it's always a fist fight til one gives up.
