I suppose it's time, I want to be up to date!

Does anyone know of a case that offers;

A) Good cooling
B) Case window
C) Clean setup, no wires all over the place
D) A nice design.

You can get premodded cases at www.directron.com (which is one of my favorite retailers of computer parts.) :) For the wire management just get either some loom (plastic tubing I ordered some for directron) or electrical tape and tape them off. Also, get rounded IDE cables instead of the normal flat ones.

Antec Sonata Quiet Chassis
Pretty much anything made by Lian Li.

Some people like Thermaltake, but that's if you like external flashy stuff.

Your best bets are to check out Antec, Lian Li, and Thermaltake.
Choose what you like from their sites, or from somewhere like

Ugly as hell. If you like cases like that, go with Thermaltake. Or Turbo Gamer.

Actually, I thought about it and don't like it, I don't like the front sliding thing.

I use the WaveMaster by Cooler Master. Excellent, kind of big, but I bought it to last 10 years. I plan on going through several motherboards with this case.

Hostile
1: TigerDirect.com sucks big time. Recommend: http://www.newegg.com/
2: Antec Lifestyle series cases are for quite, contemporary cases, not high-end cases with good cooling. Recommend: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-129-127&depa=1
3: ThermalTake is about the opposite, flashy design, lots of cooling. Recommend: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-133-130&depa=1
4: CoolerMaster cases are a good balance but a little more expensive. Recommend: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-119-023&depa=1
5: Chieftec cases are also well balanced, but usually only OEM so you have to buy your own fans. A bit hard to find as well. Recommend: A silver "BX" series case with a side window and no psu/fans if you can find one. -.- (sad, when i got my computer newegg had a bunch of them and sold them for super cheap, now price has doubled and selection is gone. =\ )

I have a tt Xaser III... really nice, especially for LANs (even though the case is 42 pounds /w PSU) 'cause you can lock it. No more rebooting joo machine to get into windows to change wallpaper by going command prompt, finding it and replacing it. Locked case.

It's quite flashy, and with a window prolly even flashier (I have the no-window case, I think windows = ugly. Window cases in this line are available), has 7 fans that run amazingly quiet... I mean, I can hear my CPU fan, but I can never be sure if the fans are running.

It's setup is not for novices. So many mobo leads coming out of it.

It comes with zip ties. That's a thumbs up.

I don't like the blue glowing thermaltake on the front. I'd like it to be easier to remove the light mask and change it ;)

At any rate, I'm happy with my case. Cost almost as much as my vid card, but meh. It's not defective like the vid card was :D

How do you like the Wave Master Grok?

I've thought about getting it for my new case, but I'm torn between that, the Antec Sonata (love those side drive bays) and the Antec PlusView 1080 AMG.

But I've heard really really good things about the WaveMaster....
decisions decisions.

www.xoxide.com hunt around there for all of your case and modding needs.
Here are some of my picks
http://www.xoxide.com/thxaiiivmses.html xaser is always good, I would look at the other ones though, the skull thing looks a bit... gay. http://www.xoxide.com/thermaltake2.html thats all the thermaltake
http://www.xoxide.com/rasc868mib.html
http://www.xoxide.com/xalmib.html
http://www.xoxide.com/xoxb1.html <- my favorite.
http://www.xoxide.com/xviper.html <- nice design good cooling
http://www.xoxide.com/antecp160.html <- aluminum and looks nice
http://www.xoxide.com/chenming6021.html <- cant go wrong with these full towers
http://www.xoxide.com/armorcase2.html <- and here is one more.

I have an aspire case, and I like aspire cases, and there is one in there like that alien one... Aspire has been pretty good to me. But I would take that xturbine case over them all, it has awesome air flow and looks sweet, but its sold out right now. Xviper seems to be discontinued, thats a shame, I liked it.

It's very DEEP (measured front to back of case) ... probably 6" deeper than a standard full tower. But it looks great, is very solid in construction, zero junky components, VERY EASY to work in and around. Adding and removing components is simple. It is designed for cooling (duh), and is not as quiet as a case designed to be silent. Otherwise, the Wave Master is the highest quality case I have owned for a desktop PC.

I have the Wave Master as well, I have external liquid glycol cooling on it so it is quiet. ;D
