Wondered how many people use eMule/the eDonkey network. I thought I might make a little database here containing ed2k links to files, so that we could recommend things to eachother.

Thoughts?

I use Shareaza, basically the same thing. Check filesoup.com or suprnova.org for massive ammounts of programs/movies/anything you will likely want

I hate emule because...
- uses a queue based system so downloads will take longer to begin, I could sit in that for 2 hours before I start downloading

- never will reach that high of a speed because of its proxys which will lag up the whole thing

I use bit torrent (bit tornado) and kazaa (kazaa just for music... and adobe photoshop, thats the #1 shared thing on kazaa it seems)

I use IRC, eMule (once in a while,) Kazaa Lite K++, and ftps (if that counts.) eMule does, like was said earlier, take forever to start. Yesterday I was downloading some ebooks, checked back a few hours later and only 3 had started.

[/quote] kazza without spyware and the newer versions block known riaa, tristar, fbi, etc ips so you can't get raped trying to keep the network going. It also gives you a barbaric share rating. Using regular kazaa is foolish with k++ floating about. Kazaa is dying, which makes me sad. With the new riaa tactics of corrupting audio files so that when they play the screech at you is another blow to the network. People are refusing to share and the membership is dwindleing. Pretty soon I will stop using it for music. I do not download much music, but I can find what I need now on bit torrent just fine. I never liked winmx though, just saying that to all of you winmx users.
