Hey guys this is a serious proposition, and if your idea is liked money will be involved. I am looking for a new logo for the gym. This will also start the general idea for the theme in our near renovation. Here are my ideas. This is a high end fitness facility. Granite Bay Health and Fitness is the name... I am looking for a Granite style theme for a logo... I am hoping that some of you may run with this and we can critique. Again this is a serious proposition. We've been working with plenty of companies and they've been coming up with crappy ideas.

I have a question, how big do you want it to be since its going to be a sign? A little smaller than a desktop backround?

I'd imagine you just make something you think he thinks looks good, then redo it to his specifications later. Also he probably will be handing it off to someone if he likes it to make it into a logo to put on brochures/pamphlets/posters/whatever, so it'll have to be resized anyways.

Well.... A sample would be nice first. We can go from there - like I said this is a professional peice I am looking for. Perhaps something say... nothing larger than 8'' square. I do not put limitations on this because I am hoping people will run with this.. if it is something we will use, a telephone conversation will work out the details. Thanks guys!

if we have a core logo then it will become our letter head, business card, sign, etc... but right now I'd like something of a banner - something similar to what a website might use... very clean, and professional.

I was messing around with some logos and I came up with this. This is just version #1, most likely I'll have more ideas down the road.

Are you licensed to use the pictures of the gym machine and the weights?

Shouldn't you be posting examples of your work here, and if you're accepted for the job THEN you e-mail him the completed logo? What's stopping jigsaw from taking the logos you posted and running?

I saw most of these propositions and felt that I had to add a slight critique of all the work that most of you have put out so far. Raven and Mitosis, while your work is nice, using those as a logo probably won't fly. If I'm not mistaken I believe that jigsaw is looking for a logo, which, in my opinion, shouldn't be so elaborate. Both of your works would make for a fine piece of graphic art either for display in the gym or as say, the company background for their computers but the artwork is too much for a company logo, in my opinion.

I felt that way as well; the granite texture needs to be adjusted for rougher edges etc., but I kinda didn't feel like playing with that. :)

What about that? I think I do have an idea somewhat about what kind of logo Hazard was talking about, but those actually take some intricate detailing to keep 'em small yet cool-looking. :)

Raven your images are horrendous. Dont quit your day job. That looks like something out of the game 'asteroids'... Im just waiting for some spaceship to come by and zap that giant heap of iron, ice, and space debris.

They all look like gravestones.. You can start up a funeral business with these logos. ;)
