Does anyone know if there is and how to use the feature or a feature like windows xp's Align-to-grid option for desktop icons? Is there any such thing?

Yes, that or the Line Up Icons one.

If you mean snap-to-grid, then no, that's new in xp.

Oh. But you can hit "Line Up Icons" as often as you like and it has the same effect.

Yes, that's true, I concede that point. But my counterargument is that it takes precious seconds.
