Thing | Tonight I purposefully installed a keylogger so I could find the files that were created and collect information on where it was sending the logs. During an observation session, I ran a search for recently modified files. I found it interesting that my computer opened a connection to sa.windows.com. In one of the packets, I found this link: http://sa.windows.com/privacy/ Har! I read that and laughed my ass off! Take a peak at the copyright, it's from 2002. Running into the fog, I found numerous articles about this and how it must be safe because Microsoft does not collect any personal information. Har again! https://davnit.net/bnet/vL/phpbbs/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=5538 sa.windows.com = 127.0.0.1 | March 13, 2004, 3:53 AM |
Yoni | Hmm, both http://sa.windows.com/ and http://sa.windows.com/privacy/ give me a "Directory Listing Denied" error... And btw, I don't set things to 127.0.0.1 to block them, I run a webserver on localhost :) (Not on port 80, but still...) 0.0.0.0 is a better void. | March 13, 2004, 12:08 PM |
