Grok | Amateur. Those indicate failure of management, not of IT personnel. Why? For one, no professional IT network engineer would create such a mess. This proves it was an amateur or otherwise irresponsible person. Management's fault for not ponying up for a consultant to design the wiring. Second photograph shows absolute cluelessness about technology. There is no point in having banks of single modems when there are modem cards that have 8-16 modems each. Servers can host hundreds of phone lines for your ISP business, which I assume this is one. The bottom picture's middle rack it looks like they finally realized they could buy modem servers. There has to be inadequate power to both rooms, and it looks like management is just cheap cheap cheap, judging by the foldaway table and the cheap blinds on the window. | March 10, 2004, 9:41 PM |
