AdronThat wasn't intended to disprove him. It's quite possible that he went to Iraq and uses an ip range assigned to the army?February 24, 2004, 04:45 pm
MoralzOk i dont know why you all dont belive me. Seriously why would i lie about that.  Im from Miami, FL im a reservist. ask me anything you want about this god awful place. I just got here about 2 months ago in January. Honestly im sorry if you guys dont belive me but i can tell you about how i cant sleep at night because there are constant rockets and mortars landing just about every hour or about how much i miss home. All i wanted to do was say hi to you all and thank you for everything you taught me about ohh...2 years ago from trying to make binary bots to gamehacking. I have alot of down time and internet access, im not sure how they network this or whatever but i can ask and ill tell you.Well if DV checks his messages tell him i say hi, i just wanted to keep in touch with him. how is the nightlife?  do you go bar-hopping with your buddies?  go dancing with the local babes much?

Just asking because when I was serving overseas, I had a blast going to the casinos, museums, castles, topless beaches, and just being with all the great people.

MoralzWell to be honest with you grok i hate it here i miss home more than ever. Im working with these 4 fucking majors who are complete a-holes., and now they are taking away my work so nonw im even less busy which Makes time go by even slower. As far as partying...its not safe to party one  bit here and theres an drinking prohibition here in Iraq. And as for the women ill be honest some are pretty damn hot! Ask yoni...lemme tell you theres a bit of a stereotype with the women, the only ones that cover there faces are the traditional ones, and theres this hottie who works in the laundry place in town where we take out crap to get pressed and washed who im trying ot hook up with, ill post a picture of her as soon as i d/l it from my camera to my pc to then my flash disk. But everytime i drive by somewhere there are people shooting in the air or at us, there are improvised explosive devices (IED's) all over the roads, there are rockets and mortars being fired constantly at night into our base...which is here in BIAP (Baghdad INternational Airport). But i never knew you served what branch? and where? But yep, im just trying ot survive and keep myself occupied, b/c half the times its not safe to go out so im stuck inside (yeah me, with a special operations job) that show shitty things are here.February 26, 2004, 07:38 am
HazardAn anti-war warrior?February 26, 2004, 02:13 pm
MoralzNo not at all, as a matter of fact i would have loved to be in here when the official war started cause one believe it not it was safer and 2 id be going home now. But these guerilla tactics of roadside bombings and rocket attacks at night across theeuphrates and tigris river are just plain stupid. How can i fight a war against a group of people hiding, we're trying but its just not easy. Im all for this country and all for war if necessary but the closest thing ive seen that even resembles weapons of mass destruction is the crap in the latrines. My belief is to let tese people rebuild their own country. One of my jobs is to facilitate goverment money to rebuild this country and honestly there are hundreds of thousands of dollars being thrown at these people. Dont get me wrong i love to help needy people but damn show some kindness by thanking us and not firing at us when we drive by. I honestly wouldnt mind visiting here because this used to be the cradle of civilization. The garden of eden was here, noah built his arch here, and its mentioned in the bible alot only as babylon or mesopatamia(means land between 2 rivers ie tigris and euphrates), and not to mention adam and eve were created here and the devil made his first record appearence here(but personally i still think he's here lol). But yeah thats if you belive in god. but anyway no im not anti-war just homesick. I see by your icon you have some sort of military affiliation. May i ask what hazard (if you dont mind)?

Someone needs to be told you're not fighting a war any longer.  The regime is overthrown.  What those people need is a countrywide kegger.  Gather up all the weed confiscated from the USA, burn it all around Iraq.  The people will forget what they were pissed about!

All for WHICH country?

Eh?  Go in, destroy their government, kill or capture all their leaders, and leave?  Did you even see the chaos the week after the regime was overthrown?  We wiped out their infrastructure.  It is our moral obligation to help rebuild it.  Otherwise you'd very quickly end up causing the entire country to slide into famine, disease, and 'tribal' battling.  Oh and several of their neighbors would love to roll in and take over.

Honestly?  You, an entry-level grunt, mr. special operations, are in Iraq to hand out American money?  I call bullshit.

I think that's called sending you a message -- "Get out of our country"?

Moralz, if you want respect, tell the truth.  "I'm a ground-pounder and we're here to basically keep the peace while those idiots in Washington, DC, try to figure out what they're going to do next."  Spinning a yarn rarely works because often you don't know enough about the thread, and it winds up too thin to be believable.  I'm glad you're doing something with your life, but you don't need to gold-plate your gruntness to other people.

muert0special operations and you were a reservist?February 28, 2004, 04:13 pm

GrokOh I think he's over there, I just think he's trying to make like he's some Delta Force guy, and at the same time in charge of distributing american dollars to Iraqi citizens?  That just makes no sense!February 28, 2004, 06:39 pm
Moralz*SIGH* You know guys just goto soc.mil click on usacapoc and then youll see my job. Go into goarmy.com and look for jobs and type in 38A which is a civil affairs specialist. That is what i do. Its a special operations job BECAUSE pay attention now because its under special operations command. I work with all types of people from infantry guys to special forces. Its ONLY a reserve job it only exists in the reserves goto a recruiter and ask them if your that in doubt. You know if you do your reserach youll see there are even special forces reservist...like the 11th special forces group. Guys im not sayin im doing delta shit here but i am saying i do have a special operations job, and i do have a top secret clearence and i am allowed to facilitate goverment money *AHRMM* donated government money not your tax payer dollars. I have many many many aspects to my job. I go out and assess damage we did and then find local contractors to build it back up and go with the lowest bidder blah blah its more complicated. Its called CERP (Commanders Emergency Relief Program). *SIGH* Grok why dont you belive me...im not gold plating anything as a mtter of fact i wish i was infantry i wouldnt probably hate it as much as this. You know i personally havent but alot of people in my unit have worked with delta force while they have been here. They need like 1 or 2 civil affairs people every once in a while when they go out. Thats my job do reserach on it im sorry if you dont belive me but thats the truth.
Grok i agree with you on many different points you made and im glad at least one of us think im doing something constructive...personally id rather be going to school and starting the police academy those are 2 of my goals anyway. But grok think about this...if i didnt have the job i say i have how would I be able to post almost every other day i even call home every day gimme a number ill show you....these arent regular things offered to "grunts"...think about that. But thankyou all if you support me and if you talk to DV or YOni ask them to mail me just to keep in touch every now and then. im done posting here so Grok im o utta our hair for good sorry if ive been an inconvenience...i know where im not wanted, but on my downtime i just think about stuff ive done in the past and i just felt like comming here. Ill leave now. Thanks. If any of you wanna see pictures just mail me ill send you pictures from car bombs where body parts are everywhere to fires.
Take care Grok, Adron,Hazard,and crashtestdummy

GrokCongratulations if you finally have your act together.  Maybe now you are starting to realize how past experience can influence someone's judgment!  I came to expect a certain level of behavior from you ... you taught me what to expect, based on past incidents.  Now you have a chance to build positive expectations in people around you for the next phase of your life.February 29, 2004, 08:41 am
