But, I do not know where to get the clan icons, possibly there is a file name for it?? Or perhaps a special place on the server you need to go to download it. I am mostly looking for a way to get it using file server download.

Someone posted a link not too long ago to icons from Battle.net's website, which are probably the same icons in the War3 data files

You can not download that file using the old BNCS FTP protocol. The new one has basic authentication before initiating the file transfer. Additionally, it's an MPQ archive and can't be treated the same as a regular Battle.net icons file.

Well I find it easier to get the icons from the site even when you can open the .bni file....

I downloaded one of the files called icons_STAR.bni from with the file downloader, boy does it have weird icons in it. I recommend checking it out.

You can download a sample program (and the source) on the BotDev website which utilizes the old protocol to download files off Battle.net. Yoni also wrote a documentation on it, which can be found here:
