Xavier Lee to Florida State

The long wait for Seminole fans is finally over. After months of anticipation five-star signal caller Xavier Lee announced at his high school football banquet Sunday night that he had committed to Florida State.

"I visited my top three schools and the visit I had the most fun on was Texas but when it came down to it I had to go where my family is and where my heart is," Lee said. "I'm going to go spend the rest of my college career with a very old coach (laugh). I'm going to Florida State to play for Bobby Bowden."

'Noles land speedy wide receiver Kenny "Special-K" O'Neal

With Sunday's commitments, Florida State's offensive recruiting class is pretty much complete. The big news of the day was the announcement from super quarterback Xavier Lee that he was going to be a Seminole. However, there was also good news from the west coast. Warchant.com confirmed Sunday that speedy wide receiver Kenny "Special-K" O'Neal had also given the FSU coaches a commitment.

The four-star receiver was a virtual unknown to Florida State a few weeks ago but he became a prime target after his film reached the Seminole coaching staff. He was quickly offered a scholarship but it looked like FSU had an uphill battle against the Georgia Bulldogs, the top school from his native state. However, after taking a closer look at the passing games of the two programs he opted for the Seminoles.

Funny thing Xavier Lee said .... I think he's slamming Chris Rix here :p

Warchant.com: "Everyone has their opinion on what you can bring to Florida State's offense, but what do you think you bring to the table?"

Xavier Lee: "Bring back a Charlie Ward-type quarterback to the school. Have fun, spread the ball around, be athletic with the ball and [color=yellow]not make stupid decisions[/color] at the same time. Just have fun and play my game, and bring a lot of excitement to the passing game and just light it up."

Lost Calvin Darity (#1 Rivals OL) who committed to North Carolina. Makes sense, Darity has a 3.89 GPA and 1100 SAT. Guy that smart should go to UNC. Their campus is very pretty too and supports studying.

Willie Williams talks about his visit with the Gators:

Asked his highlight of the visit, he said, “I’d have to say it was probably the hotel breakfast – every night we ate fried chicken, macaroni and cheese and stuff like that. The breakfast had more variety. That was the highlight, so that can pretty much tell you what I thought of the visit.”

It looks like he's probably a Hurricane.

I wouldn't think so. But a 3.89 GPA is higher than average for even non-football players.

How's Florida doing today? I haven't seen a list, but I read you got some good ones.
