The-Rabid-Lord | Lucky. I live in wales and all we get is rain and wind. No snow. it sucks :( | December 31, 2003, 1:18 PM |
iago | It rained here for two days, then snowed for 2 days. Now we have about an inch of ice everywhere, with between one and two feet of snow on top of it. Fun! | December 31, 2003, 4:28 PM |

If it's too warm when the snow falls, the surface of the ice will become rough and rugged. I like it much better when it's really cold when the snow falls, so it lies like a powder on top of the smooth ice. Ice on top of the snow is pretty nice too. Whatever that's called. | December 31, 2003, 4:58 PM |
The-Rabid-Lord | I quite like snow but i get mugged on my paper round by little kids when it does. | December 31, 2003, 5:01 PM |
Soul Taker | Paper boys are great targets for mugging. They're usually carrying large amounts of money in wads of $50 bills. | December 31, 2003, 10:48 PM |
hismajesty | Kids (meaning people under 30 or so I think) aren't allowed to have paper routes. Only people I've ever seen deliver papers looked 30-40+. Safety reasons, I'm sure. | December 31, 2003, 11:14 PM |

The-Rabid-Lord | Im 16 and the kids are 13-14. bastards. We live in wales so it ok. | January 1, 2004, 12:28 AM |
hismajesty | In North Carolina it's illegal to fish from your car, unless you're fishing for whales of course. | January 1, 2004, 7:51 AM |
The-Rabid-Lord | Huh what does that have to do with snow? | January 1, 2004, 8:26 AM |

Other than that, I still wonder what kind of ice and snow combination iago got.. If it grew gradually colder, I suppose he might've gotten the one with a rugged ice surface where you can hardly slip. The boring one. I hope not. Shiny ice under a concealing layer of powdery snow makes the walk outside much more ... interesting ... | January 1, 2004, 8:51 PM |
Denial | Ok enough is enough we have like 2 feet of snow and it just started to snow again and last night it rained some but the snow didnt melt away and now all the rain freezed and wow its a big mess im glad i dont have to work today Its so funny watching my dog try to walk through the snow in the backyard | January 1, 2004, 10:38 PM |

I've been driving on it, and it's horrible. Walking on it is just as bad, too. I actually fell once! I never fall! But I had fast enough reaction that I didn't hurt myself, I broke my own fall with my hands and knees (spread out the landing enough that I barely felt it) | January 2, 2004, 1:00 AM |
iago | Beh, I actually had to shovel to get out of the driveway today. And I barely made it through several intersections. We got ~1.5feet of snow yesterday, and they haven't finished plowing yet :( | January 3, 2004, 1:20 PM |
Thing | I don't think I'll see any snow around here. ;D http://www.weather.com/weather/detail/USTX0327 | January 3, 2004, 2:03 PM |
hismajesty | It's going to be 70 degrees today, 75 tommorow, then start dropping to the 30's. Hopefully we'll get some snow. :) | January 3, 2004, 2:45 PM |
iago | -37c here. That's about the same as farenheit. | January 3, 2004, 3:11 PM |
hismajesty | I've never seen a lot of snow, so I imagine you don't like it? I, on the other hand, love it...seeing as if we get two inches we're out of school for about 2+ days. | January 3, 2004, 3:37 PM |
Skywing | No snow at all here. I think the most we got was <1ft... | January 3, 2004, 6:15 PM |
Spht | We didn't get much snow this Christmas compared to other Christmas'. It was snowing some yesterday and this is the result today (picture taken outside my house): | January 3, 2004, 6:30 PM |
Spht | I found a picture that I took last year around the same time (more snow): | January 3, 2004, 6:38 PM |
Hostile | Ok, Yesterday... In Milwaukee... It was 54° F with a rain and nice spring smell. We've only had like a total of 1" of snow so far, damn El`Nino! | January 3, 2004, 8:06 PM |

That's cold enough that even I, who normally loves freezing cold weather, wouldn't want to be outside more than necessary. | January 3, 2004, 9:21 PM |
hismajesty | Spht, I've never seen that much snow in my life. :o edit: used wrong smiley | January 4, 2004, 12:15 AM |

iago | Haha, that's nothing. We have like twice as much snow as that first house there!! Luckly our door's on the back :) | January 4, 2004, 8:11 AM |
The-Rabid-Lord | Your all too lucky. The most snow we ever got in Wales from what I can remember is about 1/2c.m. It sucks. Nice house spht and nice view. Looks kinda like the everglades. | January 4, 2004, 9:08 AM |
Hostile | err.... when I was younger we would get an easy 4 feet of snow atleast once during. Not even counting the drifts that are in spht's picture, which could go much higher. :P Thats almost nothing. | January 4, 2004, 9:26 AM |
iago | We've had some pretty nasty storms here. I don't remember it, but in '86 and '64 we had nasty storms. I've seen pictures of streets where you can only see vans and trucks, the cars were completely buried. Once they plowed, it was like walking through a canyon (I'm told) because the snow piles were taller than a person. | January 4, 2004, 9:55 AM |
The-Rabid-Lord | I think our worst snow storm was in 85. It was a foot of snow i was told. | January 5, 2004, 8:25 AM |
Spht | I'm not saying that's the most snow we've gotten. That's pictures from this year and last year's winters. The pictures of years we've gotten lots and lots of snow are all non-digital. | January 5, 2004, 5:19 PM |
Spht | Snow's comin down now. Dis is lookin out at da warf from my bridge. You can see my boat der too, eh. | January 5, 2004, 5:23 PM |

The-Rabid-Lord | Um I think it might be the snow. I dont know many American places where it snows like that. Oh well Im welsh :( . | January 5, 2004, 5:53 PM |
Soul Taker | Everywhere in the north east of America gets snow like that. | January 5, 2004, 6:41 PM |
The-Rabid-Lord | K as i said im not american. I have only been to florida. Tampa Bay, everglades, orlando, st petersnurg. | January 5, 2004, 7:28 PM |
