Forged |
Why the hell are you installing a bot as root?
It said my access was not high enough to create the install file, so I logged in as root, and it said the same thing... The bot was old as shit, and wouldn have connected anyway. So can some1 tell me where to get the Zeroone Bot? | December 21, 2003, 10:31 PM |

cipher | c0ol also wrote a bot that uses the Perl::Tk module that you could pretty easily get installed. You would have to do a perl -MCPAN -e "shell" and then at the cpan> prompt you would go like 'install tk' and there are a few other modules that you would probably need to install such as Storable. Once I get home I will be able to provide a link to a relatively recent distribution of the bot, and I can guide you after that. The other alternative would be to use zDSBot3 which works now I believe only with Warcraft BNET edition (I had problems getting it to properly load a Starcraft Client). zDSBot3 will run in the console whereas LinuxChat has a GUI. When I get home I should be able to provide a link to a screenshot that will show you what LinuxChat looks like. Zeroone is not meant to be used as a chat bot, it's meant to be used as a moderator bot, so if that's what you're looking for, I can also help you with that. -cipher | January 14, 2004, 6:28 PM |
