DarkMinion | Yeah well we beat Ole Miss too and look where we ended up. I'm still scratching my head as to why Eli Manning was invited to New York. | December 16, 2003, 11:17 PM |
Raven | Because Eli Manning is a very good and effective QB who led Ole Miss to a very good record, where otherwise, many say they'd finish <.500 without him. | December 16, 2003, 11:24 PM |

DarkMinion | Yeah, he's so great, he single-handedly lost the SEC title game. Go Manning. Ole Miss was good because of their defense. He is nowhere near as talented as his brother. | December 17, 2003, 1:07 AM |
Connecticut isn't too bad, but they weren't Bowl-eligible this season because it's their first as a Div. 1-A school. They'll be joining up with the Big East next season (they already play basketball there, but they spent this season as independant for fotoball) so if they're good enough next season, we should see them in a bowl game. | December 23, 2003, 6:50 AM |
DarkMinion | Connecticut is a basketball school, but they're getting their football program up. Btw Grok nice going losing in basketball...dork ;) | December 23, 2003, 7:15 PM |

Btw Grok nice going losing in basketball...dork ;)
Nobody for a minute thought FSU had a good team. 10-0 means nothing when against weak competition. Pittsburgh has more talent, better shooting, more depth, far better discipline (less stupid fouls), better coaching, more longevity, history, fans, arena...that about covers it. | December 23, 2003, 7:39 PM |
Can't do that so far in advance. It doesn't make sense to me, because things change so drastically up to the game. Like TCU suspending 5 players, and Boise State 6 players, right before the game! The only player that mattered turned out to be Boise State's left OT, the QB's blind spot. I didn't watch the game but I suspect TCU blitzed excessively last night or put a weak side rush on all night due to the missing starter there. | December 24, 2003, 4:31 PM |
Raven | Hassell was apparently only sacked once, but he did only complete 50% of passes so I assume the pressure was there (didn't watch the game either). | December 24, 2003, 8:52 PM |

Grok | What an ugly finish to a super game. First, why did Hawaii not run out the clock and win in regulation? Then the overtime was pretty intense, and well played by both sides. The Hawaii TD drop in the endzone wasn't a drop. The ground knocked the ball loose and it should've been a TD. Stupid refs. Finally, that ugly fight, was criminal. | December 26, 2003, 5:43 AM |
