CrAz3D | It is a person's choice to smoke or not. Everyone should have the option to kill themselves slowly or not, it's not the government's business to destroy something that people like to do. What about child porn on the internet, a way to for sure stop that is just close all internet service providers. No more internet & problem solved, no more internet porn. Wouldn't you like to have the choice wether or not to be on the internet &/or smoke? | November 30, 2003, 8:42 PM |

But wait, this guy that just walked by me blew smoke in my face, which I inhaled, giving me lung cancer and causing me to be sick, die, and cause grief to my family and friends. -OR- It is my fathers choice not to smoke (who pays the bills in my family). iago | btw, this is my friend from work in an email:
The Christmas party is the 14th. Don't forget. But actually, I am not really even looking forward to it anymore. I starting thinking about waiting forever to eat and then sitting there forever waiting for the speeches, and then sitting through them, all the time thinking to myself.... SURE NEED A SMOKE, WISH I COULD HAVE A SMOKE, PRETTY COLD OUT THERE TO SMOKE, DO I HAVE TIME FOR JUST ONE SMOKE? That does not sound like allot of fun, now does it? Stupid laws.
My response:
The law is great for nonsmokers! Last year it was, "Ugh, I have to sit in a stuffy bar inhaling other people's smoke, then I'll stink when I leave and have to shower just to get the smell off myself."
| November 30, 2003, 10:51 PM |

BUT, since it is very impractical that someone could die from just one instance, unless they had asthma or another lung problem, of second hand smoke. | December 1, 2003, 6:19 PM |
Zakath | It has been demonstrably shown that second-hand smoke has serious effects on those who are exposed to it for long periods of time, often in situations where they have no choice. Smoking tobacco is quite frankly stupid, as well as being a menace to society. We have laws against driving while drunk, why not laws against smoking in the company of other people? I wonder if people might take the hint if they were no longer allowed to smoke in their homes or on the streets. | December 1, 2003, 8:05 PM |
