MeT | can i connect my bot on a cd key to one port then open it agen and use a different port and connect it to the same cd key? | November 24, 2003, 9:29 PM |
Dyndrilliac | No. You can use the same key on two different Gateways(General Server Locations), but that is the only exception to the No Double Key rule. | November 24, 2003, 9:34 PM |
MeT | What about proxy based bots? | November 24, 2003, 10:16 PM |
MeT | My friend has a proxy based bot and he can connect like 20 bots for massloading off of one cd key but all on dif proxies | November 24, 2003, 10:20 PM |

Kp |
and also Starcraft Shareware
As I recall, SSHR doesn't even use CDKeys, so why/where would you use spawning with it? | November 24, 2003, 10:24 PM |
Dyndrilliac | Never heard of spawning. Mind giving me an overview of how it works? | November 25, 2003, 1:59 AM |
Myndfyr | When you first put in the Starcraft CD, you are given the option (this is PRE-install) to "Install Starcraft" or "Install Spawn." Spawn is IIRC essentially a shareware version of the game. | November 25, 2003, 2:13 AM |
Dyndrilliac | But aren't they not allowed in the same channels as the retail Versions? Seems to me like that makes them useless. | November 25, 2003, 2:35 AM |

As I recall, Spawns can only play in games hosted by their spawner (so no SP, and no gaming with random hosts), but are otherwise fully featured. However, due to widespread abuse of spawning, Blizzard restricted spawns to public channels. | November 25, 2003, 5:49 AM |

KoRe | Um, Yes u can use a key 2 times on same Server. say USWEST for example. But u need to use 2 diffrent ip's. now to do this u say load ur bot on the key on your local ip. then the 2nd bot on a proxy server both connecting to the same key and same server on bnet. just both have diffrent ip'. This works test it out ur self. i tested it out using zds. | November 27, 2003, 4:07 PM |
Dyndrilliac | One IP will just get a CDKey in use message....This why when someone has your key on 24/7 after jacking it you can no longer play on Battle.net(On that key). If your method worked, keys would be largely irrelevant. | November 27, 2003, 4:41 PM |
KoRe | Dont diss it till u try it out ur self. Load a zds 3110 or anybot on your local ip, on one key. Then uses sockscap unless it has proxy support and load another bot on a proxy ip. and on the same key as the bot on ur local and then report here. | November 28, 2003, 3:01 AM |
KoRe | all im saying it works for me. if it doesnt work for you guys then guess igot an advantage. | November 28, 2003, 3:46 AM |
Archonist | I'm not sure if you still can.. but, I used to load 3 per key using my local IP, 2 proxies, and I changed the name the cdkey is registered to. I *belive* this is what KoRe is talking about. | November 30, 2003, 1:16 PM |
Newby | He's right. I could do that. I loaded 3 keys twice before. Two different computers with two different IP's .. but I still did it. ^^ | November 30, 2003, 4:02 PM |
thetempest | well if he was proxying, that would eliminate the limit of one per IP address right? | November 30, 2003, 6:46 PM |
Soul Taker | The limit of one per IP address is for CHAT connections. | December 1, 2003, 2:38 PM |

To me, it meets all the requirements to load multiple instances of the same CDKey on Battle.net
One CDKey instance was in ops .. the other was in chat. Yes .. I could have both go in private channels. | December 1, 2003, 2:55 PM |
