I'm UserLoser, but on the account UserLoser. because it says UserLoser is banned - why is UserLoser banned?

The forum should have something like a Bannedlist. Where the username is stated along with a reason:

iLurker - Moron
warz - got banned for being a smartass(did get banned*)
etc...

The list goes on, I can't remember the names exactly but you get the point.

Apparently you bothered some nonmember for something, and instead of banning that nonmember from the forum, you were banned? Which also points at how banning someone by username is completely useless, it's much better to ban by ip/8 and then reban any other ip range that posts using the same username.

But that wasn't the request! I was asked to ban 'UserLoser' so complied. Had he asked me to ban '*UserLoser*', his IP subnet, and his email address, the outcome would've been more complete.

So, a non member asks someone to get banned, so you guys ban them?

Because UserLoser seems to be as incapable of understanding a ban from the forums as he is incapable of understanding a ban from the channel, I humbly suggest you ban *UserLoser*, his IP subnet, and his E-Mail address.

Heh, I was banned from the vL channel for I guess almost a year. All I did to get unbanned was wait say 9 months, then asked to be unbanned. And Look, now im friendlist(I think).

I didn't tell any more than I did in this thread. And I still think it's a rather completely sucky reason for a ban from the forum. I haven't seen any posts by UserLoser that haven't been either good or easy to handle by a moderator ever since those evil karma links, which I did something about myself.

I just think we're too ban happy when people aren't obviously disrupting (spamming, advertising or not listening to complaints from the moderators)

And about that Karma thing, I think that was actually quite clever. :-)

It was very clever. I admire him for thinking it up. It increases his chances of passing a vL test if I were to hold one for him. That still doesn't mean it can go unpunished in this context.
