Etheran | So, you don't have to use Managed C++ with MSVC 7.0. | January 12, 2003, 1:50 AM |
dRAgoN | 7 -- The CD looks better ^^ | January 12, 2003, 7:37 AM |
Adron | 5.0 - it's fast and has built-in help | January 12, 2003, 7:54 AM |
WolfSage | 6 - It's the only one I've used. :) | January 12, 2003, 11:00 AM |
Yoni | 7.0 - somewhat better ANSI C++ support than 6 and 5 (though the template support still needs a lot of work) and better IDE, though it's much more of a memory hog than 6 and 5. My 7.0 has built-in help too (Adron) though I couldn't fix it to use latest SDK =( | January 12, 2003, 11:33 AM |
Skywing | 7.0 - It's optimizer is by far the best of any of the other compilers, and it has up-to-date built in help! | January 12, 2003, 1:59 PM |
Spht | There appears to be a tie for version 6.0 and 7.0! I voted for 7.0. | January 12, 2003, 4:33 PM |
Zakath | I use MSVC7. It has a better interface, much better real-time help features, access to the online MSDN library, and has a much nicer looking IDE than 6 did. I never used 5, though, so I can't comment on it. | January 12, 2003, 6:03 PM |
Eibro | 6 I don't see any reason to upgrade right now. | January 12, 2003, 9:41 PM |
iago | 6 Just to make it a tie again. And because it's the only one I've ever used :) | January 13, 2003, 7:30 PM |
