At least 250,000 Chinese Commit Suicide Every Year

I say that's bullshit! I say they are killing themselves because the government censors their Internet browsing. What are your thoughts?

250 000 Chinese kill themselves per year...
40 000 Americans kill themselves each year...
Looks like Americans have a higher suicide rate.

1 300 000 000 / 250 000 = 5200
300 000 000 / 40 000 = 7500

I don't know what the last numbers represent, my brain has kinda turned off but it seems as though more americans commit suicide as a percent than chinese...

I think you're doing it backwards, you want a percentage:

250 000 / 1 300 000 000 * 100% = 0.0192307%
40 000 / 300 000 000* 100% = 0.0133333%

so a higher percentage of chinese do, but not a lot higher

Well Chinese have about 1.5times as many suicides as Americans as a percent... And I suppose it doesn't help that they live in 'such a country'(I'm sure you know what I'm talking about).

I'm still missing the humor.

No humour. The fact that Chinese people live in a crowded environment, with a communist government (?, is it still communist) and so many laws, it's a lot to put up with.

Well, that and the fact that you probably walk around every day looking at those ugly yellow people with weird eyes, that could get the better of anyone.

Er... I don't know what that'd be considered, racist maybe? Although I don't find chinese girls attractive for the most part, they are easy to get along with and are always pushing to be better than the rest of the world...

Over population, government oppression, bad liviing conditions; for the people that apply to those items I can see why they can't take it. This is why people risk their lives trying to get in America in cargo boxes & what not.

Also, why is this in the Fun Forum, it's a little depresing.

Suicide is funny. Chinese are funny. If I was Chinese, I would kill myself and laugh.
