We ripped our openers eh!!!

FSU 37 - NC 0
TTU 58 - SMU 10

Looks like FSU ripped it on offense, pretty balanced, 300+ passing, 200+ rushing. Defense looked good, allowing under 300 total yards, only +1 in the TO department though, you gotta stop fumbling!!! :P Special teams were ok, punt return game looked good. Assuming all touchbacks on your kickoffs, so good kicker eh?

We tore into them on offense, as was expected. 300+ passing, 120 or so rushing. We scored 3 rushing TDs, uncharacteristic of our offense, but it's nice to see! Defense was tons better than last year, and that's what can be scary about this team this year. Held SMU to 3 through 3 1/2 quarters, and they scored a TD on the scrubs. Last year, SMU ran all over us, but we held them to < 80 rushing yards this year, also intercepted their QB 3 times. Also, one of our DE's returned a pick for a TD. Special teams was awesome, 50 yard PR for TD, one of our KR's returned two kickoffs for a total of 120 yards (40 and 80 yards on each).

Unfortunately, we both played cupcakes!!! The cupcake factor gets no better for us next week as we play New Mexico, but you get a better team in Maryland...although they did lose to N. Illinois... ::)

Way I see it, both teams should be 2-0 after Saturday!

Don't forget the Sportscenter Top 10 Play-of-the-Day hit by Greg Jones on the nation's leading tackler, UNC free safety Dexter Reid.

A fullback, Jones is the strongest player on FSU's team. His arms look at big as his waist.

FSU played nearly everyone on the roster in this game, and still was able to get the shutout. I think that's the most impressive part. Typically when you're ahead and put in the subs, you lose the goose egg. Subs played the entire 4th quarter.

Yes should be 2-0. As far as FSU's schedule, it's suddenly looking much easier.

The next few weeks:
Maryland just lost to North Illinois
Georgia Tech lost at BYU 24-13
Clemson got waxed at home by Georgia 30-0
Colorado almost needed OT to beat CSU
at Duke, yawn
bye week
then Miami comes to town.

Yeah, your SOS is going way down hill but who cares, as long as you win!

Yeah, I don't think even Tulane University stoops that low as far as SOS goes!
