Anyone use delphi? I've always been interested in it, maybe someone can recommend a good book or website?

Arta programs in Delphi. Once he sees this, he'll probably be able to throw something your way.

hmm

I don't, really. I used a waaay old Delphi 2 book to learn object pascal basics and then just delphi's helpfiles...

http://delphi.about.com/ is kinda useful occasionally :)

Delphi is theoretically a great language, supposedly it makes tiny, fast executables with no dependencies and it's easy to code...but I can't figure the damn thing out!

"tiny, fast executables"

That can be the case, but if you're using VCL, which you almost certainly will be, then it just doesn't apply.
