Yeah the learning curve in that game is a motherfucker.

I play it with three accounts, Internet Knight being my main. Been playing it for years.

The learning curve sucks, if you join a company people will help you out but the game is still more work than fun, at least for me.

I remember playing WingCommader with WC: Privateer being my favorite game of all time. I wish they made a main stream MMO with live action and EVE depth.

I started playing it about a year ago because I could afk mine while working.  Now I'm running two accounts with my main (Thinger) in a corp which resides in 0.0  This game will make you "HTFU"

Can you explain to me, if you can, what the game is really about? I did not get it when I tried it. Is it all about having the biggest baddest ship, pvp, owning territory, the biggest guild/corporation?

EVE is all about having the biggest baddest ship, pvp, owning territory, and being in/leading the biggest guild/corporation.

It's an unforgiving pvp mmo that's all about what you mentioned plus a lot more.  Really the only way to describe it is to play it ... unless you want to read a wall of text. 

I carry my CEO's corpse around and sexually violate it every chance I get.

oh nice how far off the series is that, hell i had all 4 of the main wing commander games, aswell as the special ops that didnt go anywhere need to see if i can find that again too, they only released a mission a month or some shit if i remember.

Privateer Gold is a pure re-make of the original WC: Privateer. Privateer was a side story not relating to the numbered WC games. It was an open ended game. IMO it's the best WC based game ever made. The second best open ended flight sim is Freelancer (same people made it after they left Origin/EA).

looks like they updat it and fix it atleast once a year lol, their forums are down though when I looked. screen shots that are there reminds me of wc1-2.

If I remember right, the first Privateer game was made between wc2 and 3. The game works, true to the original and the expansion.

So, this is showing up in my unread posts since last visit.  Anyone still play?

I've tried it and it was boring to me. The only game I play now, and that's when I have time for games, is Total War: Shogun 2. No MMO's until I get to try SWTOR, and Guild Wars 2.

I am also looking forward to Diablo 3 :)
