How long has it been since this BNLS server was updated? Are you going to release hashes that will actually work with Battle.Net clients, because StealthBot doesn't work with your BNLS?

I doubt it'll be updated anytime soon, the person with the most access that's active right now *cough* userloser only can do so much.

if it was only public sourced :)  and yes i know jbls is, but bnls :D

anyways just my opinion..

JBLS is only open source because the jars don't get compiled... I'm sure if they could be compiled, Hdx would have done that.

If Hdx really cared that much about hiding his code, he would have used another language or some method to hide Java byte-code (if such a method exists).

that and he wouldn't have it all zipped up in a pretty package for DL huh?

Hdx is not the original author of JBLS anyways, IIRC.

... .java files are compiled into .class files, so if he wanted to make it closed source he could just put all the .class files together and distribute it that way instead of packaging it into a .jar file.

I think TheFooL or something started it initially.

If someone has a Windows server I'd be happy to put together a BNLS-ish thing using MBNCSUtil.

I am a major advocate for Open Source, Everything I have ever done that is not complete and utter crap is public and open source.

I've looked at it many times, just for shits and giggles.

[Don't ask its out of respect IMO] I actually have it working to an extent, but i havn't finished yet. right now its about 4x more efficient then the current incarnation then JBLS.

Assuming that means Skywing wrote code that you are going to use, which part of the protocol is it?

That doesn't make sense with what I said. So in response: Why do you need permission from Skywing to write code in C? Is it simply because BNLS is also written in C (probably C++)? If that's the case, you don't think Microsoft went and got permission from At&t to write another OS in C do you?

yeah but he just said its out of respect.. although its not a bad idea if skywing will no longer want to update/maintain bnls, i know it could be heavily abused if sky gave out bnls source, but it'd be nice if we still had the privalge of his source. oh well.

I only host it for persional use, and for a few friends, but you're welcome to use it if you need it:

I know there must be a ton of JBLS out there, but someone informed me of jbls.clanbnu.net and I've been using that for a while now. It never seems to be down.
