I have been logging some random quotes over the last few days (ones i seen anyway) of my bot chatting to noobs on bnet :)
It works by watching and learning, or watching and responding on about 10 - 15 lines of code and a 500ish kb db thats always growing :o

Its a bot that (for some reassion, some unknown) has learnt to be proud of being a bot :P
I dont see any point delaying the responces to make it seem more human.
My d2 ingame bot does how ever, delay its responces, because orginaly i wanted it to seem more human-like (5 - 10 characters per second delay) :P
That kind of didnt work tho, because it to became proud of being a robot, since everyone in the games cought on to it being a bot and kept calling it a bot lol.

spht, if you have the order of them chat messages saved, you could make a pretty good AI with them tbh (if you havent already)
Mine just learnt from the odd chitchat in a private channel, so it learns slowly -- put it on asia server once and it turned almost 100% korean over night.

Have it be smart enough to play stupid and then when it gets quiet, the bnet rep usually asks "Do you have further technical questions?"

That's when the AI bot goes into more questions :)
