The company that I work for is looking for some sort of program that will monitor their 'Resource Center' workstations. These workstations generally have specialized software that, in normal circumstances wouldn't be on employee's computers, ie. Adobe Standard, Photoshop, HP Solutions, Scanner software, etc.

We are looking for software that will monitor who logs in and what programs are accessed the most, the amount of time spent per user logged in (weekly, monthly), which drive gets used to most, etc

If anyone has any idea's, It would help out alot.

You could try Antamedia's stuff.  I've seen it a couple times and it looks pretty nice, though I've never actually used it myself (administrative side, at least).

The internet Cafe software looks interesting, but to pay 350 dollars for the use of only one of the features it has wouldn't be a sound choice.

Any other idea's?

Make your own?  Shouldn't be too hard, and it sounds like it'd be fun :D

I estimate a level of effort of 12 hours, at $60/hr (so $720), which will:
-- monitor logins
-- monitor programs run and how long they're active for
-- which drive is written to the most.

I can adjust my estimate based on more information for the following task:
-- etc.

This information will be stored to an Excel spreadsheet in weekly and monthly forms

Tell me what you need done. I've just been working on a Kiosk browser for a side job that disables everything in Windows, and I'm in an "admin-y" mood ;) (and I'll do it for free)

Haha..if it were me I'd still go with MyndFyre because of his experience and the fact that he's kind of a big shot developer guy where he works (no offense, Andy :P)

lol... all that information is already in the computer dude... You just gotta know where to look..
with a few "task" setups and changing a few paths and sending the logs to a spot of your choice
your done.. Thats the "non GUI " way .. also the free way..  google the info man.. its out there..
