Denial | Bad Request (Invalid Hostname) Curious to why it's like that. I know the reason but i wanna know the non-techie reason behind it. | July 10, 2007, 4:28 PM |

Myndfyr | Looks like a DNS error. That's what IIS returns when there is not a website configured on the IP endpoint with the specified hostname. | July 10, 2007, 9:12 PM |
Imperceptus | appears to be fixed now. perhaps service needed restart. | July 10, 2007, 9:18 PM |

Grok | I pointed the domain to our new DNS but the entries in the DNS were pointing to the wrong IPs. So, when someone brought my attention to it, I corrected the IPs which allowed you to properly resolve it. Sorry, that was sloppy of me. | July 11, 2007, 4:16 AM |
Barabajagal | So any news on when bnetdocs won't say:
We're sorry, but BnetDocs is currently unavailable. Please try again later.
? | July 11, 2007, 5:09 AM |

Barabajagal | I know, it's just getting a bit annoying, and I'm not understanding why an official backup wasn't saved somewhere for people to use in the meanwhile (I know there's other ones). | July 11, 2007, 7:47 AM |

Grok | Hmm, I wonder if he's pointing to a MySQL by an old IP address. How long has it been down, precisely? | July 11, 2007, 1:15 PM |
Denial | Grok from what i've seen it came up and down every few seconds you could resolve to the page if you kept refreshing then you couldn't visit it. Same as bnls you could connect then a few seconds later you couldn't. I would have to say atleast 4 hours if not more. Also thanks for a straight forward answer. That's all i was looking for not some random comment from the users of these forums nowadays. | July 11, 2007, 3:34 PM |
Barabajagal | How long has bnetdocs been down? I haven't seen the official site's home page in months. But then again, I don't check it all the time. | July 11, 2007, 8:00 PM |
Arta | Ages. I've made noises about getting the database transferred from the old server to the new, but I haven't chased it up very well and nothing's happened so far. The old server appears to be down now so I can't get to it and do it myself. I have a backup but it's not terribly current, would be much better to get the real one. I also can't connect to the web server anymore (at least not with the details I have). In other words: headache. I've been quite busy recently with other things too so it's been hard to make it a priority :( | July 13, 2007, 11:59 AM |
Grok | Ah, find me on MSN messenger sometime. I've got a bit of free time and when you do, we can figure it out. I'm sure Thing's got all new IP addresses, so that's likely the culprit here. | July 14, 2007, 1:33 AM |
Denial | If you guys need anything stored let me know i got a few servers doing nothing and a lot of space in the servers i'm using. | July 14, 2007, 8:20 AM |
