That be gay if they were to shut it down which i doubt it since diablo II and warcraft III runs off battle.net as well As well as a new patch for starcraft for tournaments is coming out within a few weeks.

It was a translation after all.  Maybe it was supposed to, say "Blizzard had plans for a sequel but shut down the project and decided to focus more on their servers for Starcraft to ensure its success into the future."

I dread the idea of Starcraft 2. I typically don't like modern games, for example, Warcraft III. I'm worried that a Starcraft sequel will ruin the good name of Starcraft, and one of the best classic games. :-/

I think i'd be cool if Starcraft II was like the same, but with more features and maybe a new race like ORC

But if it does come out lookin like Starcraft Ghost, or World of Warcraft, I'd be disapointed, Because I like games that are like WARCRAFT II, and STARCRAFT. =(

Well it will be in 3d so that sucks they should make it the same im sure millions of people would buy it if it came out looking the same as starcraft

They best better keep the gameplay identical and not make it like warcraft 3 with the hero units for example.

Hero units were great in single player, I just hope that's where they stay.

Lead Engine Programmer..that definitely aint no WoW Expansion.

I think a Diablo MMO is more likely than a SC MMO. Then again, I didn't think a WC MMO was likely. RTS names should stick with RTS play. Blizzard's making a lot of stupid moves, if you ask me.

Diablo MMORPG would be too much like WoW. WoW took a lot of ideas from Diablo.

Also MMORPGs are Blizzard's biggest cash cow. 9 Million subscribers paying $15/mo don't lie.

This sucks.

Blizz could take over the world a few times with the money they get from WoW xD

Why are they making another MMO, that will just hurt their WoW profit..

They're thinking in the future, when they announce this MMORPG it will take them atleast 5 years to develop it. WoW is expected to last 5-10 more years.

• This specifically said for a next-gen MMO.

Yeah. But they never specified anything. Whereas with this, they specified at least the genre. :P

The group behind Diablo and Diablo II already made a new game.  It's called Guild Wars.

The Diablo II group forked to many companies. One of them is working on Hellgate London, the other made Guild Wars, and I think some ex SC BW devs are making an RTS as well.

That's tight that its finnally announced after all these years, sad it sorta likes like a warcraft III but im stoked eaither way and definity instrested in the game. I'm curious as how the gaming records would work though, since starcraft I has leagues now, i wonder if it'd work the same or even work like warcraft III.
