I use DOS every now and again to test some things (I won't go into specifics).

Every time I install DOS, it is 3 diskettes, inserted after one another.

I was wondering if there would be any way to compile them into a single ISO file, burn them onto a cd, and install it.  The only problem I see is if there are no cd drivers installed on the motherboard beforehand.

Does anyone have any knowledge about this?

You'll need to launch the CD with a boot floppy and MSCDEX. From there, [tt]autoexec.bat[/tt] should call up the CD.

As for the CD itself, IIRC you can toss all the files in the same folder (they don't overwrite) and it will work. I'm not sure though.

Incorrect.  Most mobos that have bootable CD support automatically make the bootable CD visible to the OS as a hard drive.

You can create a boot sector in a lot of CD burning programs by providing a bootable floppy disk.  In this case you may be able to use the original floppies.
