Well, I had been contemplating on creating a Documentation Website similar to Bnetdocs, except for WoW. Does anyone else think this may be a good idea? I mean, it's very useful for Battle.net, etc, so why not for WoW? Anyways, it's just a thought, input, suggestions, etc, is very much welcomed.

Would be nice, though it should be setup so that you have to send a request to to the admin to view it.

There are already several really good sites for this, so it'd be kinda pointless imo.

I have something, although it's presently private.  I'd need to know you better before I would be comfortable inviting you to it.

Ahh, I see... I had actually considered talking to Arta and the few from Bnetdocs, including yourself, to see what you guys thought about the idea. I'd like to know a little bit about your private "something" in the near future, ^_^.

It uses the MediaWiki software.  I prefer Wiki to Arta's system, but it's nice in general.

What are you wanting to know?

With MediaWiki you could allow anyone to discuss/build an article in the talk page, and only privileged users can actually edit the article itself.

I was trying to say "out of sight out of mind", blizzard has shutdown a few real good places that had extensive data on packet info and the likes.

Given the potential for abuse that could come by untrusted users emulating the WoW protocol, I haven't wanted to make it public.  While I'm aware of this feature, I opted to make the ability to read require a user account, and the creation of a new account require a sysop.

Ah, I misread.  And I also agree that something like this shouldn't be public

Ah, I thought you meant something similar to wowhead.com, or thottbot.com. What I'd really like to see is a map of each continent, and zone, with the dots on it representing quest givers in that area. It'd be nice if just by looking at the dots, you could determine if the quest giver is friendly to alliance, horde or both (maybe red, blue and grey dots or something). When you hover the mouse over the dots, it should have the NPC's coordinates, and links to the wowhead article about the quests they give. A site like this would increase questing time very well.

Also, maybe something like mapquest, when you're hovering your mouse over an NPC, and then hover the mouse over one of his quests that he gives, it'd draw a route line to where the quest either ends, or where the items to be farmed are located at. This site would own wowhead.com.

Could allways wait for an updated WoWAtlas with the TBC maps.

Just a little background information, such as that. Also, who else works on it? Or is it just you? Is it the same concept as what I had been planning? Packet information, etc, for WoW?
