Ok...they're in Santa Fe (New Mexico's capital) voting on former Sheriff Juan Hernandez's confirmation to the Adult Parole Board Mary Jane Garcia (Dona Ana) calls him demented.
WTF WOMAN!?

Lee Rawsom (Las Cruces) demanded an apology from her as he stood behind Hernandez for appointment (or w/e).

Garcia sent a statement to the Sun-News on thursday.
Also, she said "I reget my poor choice of wordss regarding Mr. Hernandez's condition...I should have said 'his dementia.'"

"Garcia asked that the ocus be on 'the true issue here: the fact that almost ont-third of the Senate stood with me in declaring Mr. Hernandez unfit to serve.'"
(He was approved by 2/3 majority)

Uhm, ok WTF woman...2/3 vote is what it takes to elect the president!...this dude is only up for the Adult Parole Board.

She used to be the local probate judge...we had to go see her after my grandma died cause my grandma had never had her house put in her name after her husband died.
She wasn't the nicest ugly old lady I've ever seen

I cant find the picture online that is in the paper, but she looks like a clown w/all of her makeup

How can this topic possibly be of interest to anyone other than about 5 people?

Additionally:

Make substantive arguments, or don't bother. Attacking someone's appearence, rather than the substance of their argument, is a fallacy.
I attacked both.
She is dumb for saying what she did about the 1/3 of the senate & she looks like a clown.  I also said she wasn't nice.

I don't really think I was attacking her appearance either, I just said she looked like a clown cause she was wearing so much make-up, that is an observation

You called her an ugly whore:
Why attack both? Why make an ad hominem attack if the substance of her argument is such that it is unneccesary? Did you read that Wikipedia page?

The tone of debate around here would be vastly improved if people would stop employing such obvious fallacies in their arguments.

Yes, look, that's from August of 2004. This is January of 2006.

Back then I thought you'd make informational topics, not just anti-Bush flamebait.

In my opinion, his posts are insightful and use examples of George Bush to make a point.

I dunno, this topic title seems like a prime Grade-A example of flamebait.

Looks to me like you're 'waffling'.  Besides, doesn't look like you were talking about what would happen, you said you are always interested in his political posts, not that you will be interested in them.  Face it, you've put your foot in your mouth, and it's pretty funny.

It looks to me like you're attempting to argue a moot point. Furthermore, you're right...I wasn't talking about what "would" happen, I was always interested in Grok's posts back in August, 2004 not in January of 2006.

In January of 2006 I generally find Grok's topics to be of annoyance and serve no purpose as they're generally repeats of the exact same things that have been brought up before (ie. Bush sucks).

In August of 2004 I had a lot of respect for Grok due to his time served in the armed forces, but now that respect has been overshadowed by his constant (and often uncalled for) blatant criticism of our Commander in Chief. I don't know if Grok held any high rank in the services, but I know my grandfather did...and I know he wouldn't appreciate it too much if people consistently and unjustly criticised him, just for the sake of doing so.

Who's "him" -- Bush or your Grandfather?

Furthermore, Bush's criticism is brought about his own actions which are his fault, obviously.  There are a large number of people that are criticising Bush, even members of his own party!  It also seems like you are saying people in the armed forces should have to respect their "commander in chief" and what he says should be upheld and supported; not true, IMO.

Both now that I think about it. However, I originally intended for it to be about my grandfather as I don't know Bush or how he reacts. I think he probably just ignores it...
I believe if you read it carefully one would be right it believing trust refered to his grandfather as 'him'.

ANYWAY, it looks like Garcia might have also just been upset at Hernandez because he was apart of the investigation against her brother-in-law & nephew for a racketeering case involving a local Welcome Inn.
Maybe she just got a little personal about it all
