I went by the Ford body shop that did the work & they said it was cause people have hit my door (there are no visible dings so they must've tapped it with a pencil or something). "They hit your door & that openned up the clear coat & water gets behind there & it flakes off." My think is I've been hit other places & have had no flaking, the only flaking occurs where my passenger side doors have been painted, should they be held liable for bad quality or should I just buy some touch up paint? Thanks! | December 5, 2005, 12:46 AM |
powered by nissan | Yea they should be liable in a case. How long has it been? I would go there and complain, but thats what happens when you buy a Ford. Dont toch it up with touch paint because it makes everything worse, youll regret doing it. | December 5, 2005, 5:32 AM |
CrAz3D | Its post build paint. My stupid dealship is @ fault, hopefully they recognize this. Need to start building my 'case' as to why it is there fault to convince them to redo my panels for free. Gonna start by going to a few body chops & asking them their opinion on the flaking. Then make a point that other places that my truck has been hit there is no flakage. | December 5, 2005, 3:54 PM |
