Talora | If you guys are struggling through a school web blocker, I have a few choices for you. 1. http://google.de/ -- German http://google.ca/ -- Canadian http://google.it/ -- Italian http://google.co.uk/ - British If images dont work on google.com, use the german google. 2. https://www1.stday.com https://www2.stday.com https://www3.stday.com 3 Proxy's that work. They are all in chinese or some crap, but it is simple to tell where to input the web site to get to. 3. Start > Run > cmd > Ping www.whatever.com I know with my old schools web blocker that it did not block Internet Protocol's (IP Addresses), so this is an easy way also. Hope I helped you kids still in school :) | October 19, 2005, 12:11 PM |

Stealth | Our computers at school had Run disabled, which made things only slightly more interesting. We used Visual Basic to shell into exploring the C drive where we could open up a command prompt. From there, we could manually FTP in and download Firefox, then install and run it. The sys admins configured the content-scanner proxy on IE only, so once you had the Fox, you had unrestricted access. Their response was to add to the Novell logon script a section that deleted any copies of "firefox.exe" in the default install location. We got around this by renaming it ("firefoxed.exe") or installing it to a non-default directory. It was pretty sad, really. | October 19, 2005, 10:47 PM |

Press any key to continue . . ." Any other ideas? =p EDIT At our school, Start > Program Files > Accessories > (System Tools > ?) Command Prompt | October 20, 2005, 2:48 AM |
Forged | we had to use google.ca in my graphics and animation class because our admin thought it would be a good idea to disable pictures with google. I actually figured out it worked on accident by going to diffrent national google sites in another class, it was pretty sexy. "Your network administrator has disabled the command prompt." Get a floppy disc and find a proxie list. Assuming you are using i.e when you go to school open internet explorer > tools > internet options > Lan Settings > use proxy server for your lan and then fill in a proxy and port from your list. | October 20, 2005, 5:20 AM |
iago | I'll copy and paste my old speech here: Screwing around with school computers is a very dumb idea. You can get expelled, ruin your education, ruin your life, and for what? Nothing. School isn't a game, and messing with school computers isn't a game. It's just a plain dumb thing to do. | October 20, 2005, 5:27 AM |

This thread is proof that people who have some idiotic idea in their mind don't listen to reason, or think of consequences. If I had to look after kids who acted like that, and I'm sure they all do, I'd kill myself. | October 21, 2005, 12:01 AM |
