Hey, I've been doing webdesign for 4 years and I want to step up a level into programming. I'm not quite sure where to start and I know that I'll have to start with basic projects instead of jumping right into making bots. If you could tell me what programs to use and any references I would be very thankful.

Since you are already familiar with web design, a logic and fun step would be to add scripting support to your pages. The tools you might use vary depending on the operating system you are using. If you want to go this route, first programming web pages, tell us your operating system and people here will suggest a list of tools to download, and hopefully the URL from where to get them.

Right now I'm on Windows 2000. My computer isn't very good... actually its a pos. I'm gonna put a new one together this summer with some money that I make. But anyways... my operating system is Windows 2000 and right now I'm learning PHP.
