I'm looking for a new, cheap, decent harddrive to buy for my server pc. Note: My server pc is nothing too extreme, so it doesn't need the best there is.
After looking around on newegg.com, I found an 80gb harddrive from Western Digital. From the reviews it is a very good harddrive and it only costs $52.00. My main question is, when getting a harddrive, is there something that it must be compatible with that is already in my computer before it is able to function? Any help is appreciated.

Not sure what HD you're looking at, but with the magic of rebates you could get a 160GB HD for $40.

I have a western digital 70gig hard drive laying around that I don't use. It's about 2 years old, but it runs pretty quiet. Do you want it? 35$.

Or he could spend $4.99 more and get a brand new 160gb drive?

I don't have a working printer to print out the mail-in ebate forms, so I may end up getting to 80Gb HD. If anyone would like to know more about it, here is the link:

Kinko's is my favourite copy place cause it's open 24 hours, like if it's three in the morning, and I suddenly decide I need two of something, I'm covered.
