This belongs in the Fun Forum (tm).

If it had been a serious post, my reply was going to be that I support open-source software development.  I'm not going to go out of my way to make my machine less usable (or less functional?) just to use open source.  I guess that's a luxury I have, though, for being in the upper-middle class.

I've found that I've gained rather than lost functionality by using free software, but that's just me :)
