Arta | Which clients are permitted to use SID_AUTH_* as their logon mechanism (NLS or otherwise)? Which products can use the old logon system? Can any use both? Are any products required to use one or the other? | July 14, 2005, 5:07 PM |
dRAgoN |
link=topic=12216.msg120697#msg120697 date=1121360834] Which clients are permitted to use SID_AUTH_* as their logon mechanism (NLS or otherwise)? Which products can use the old logon system? Can any use both? Are any products required to use one or the other?
Every client can use it (0x50/0x51 (non NLS)) except JSTR/WAR3/W3XP/W3DM, as for NLS (WAR3/W3XP/W3DM(broken nls)) and, I would asume all the clients that can use the normal (0x50/0x51) logon could but I have no proof of that. Edit: Old system: SSHR, LTRD, DSHR, W2BN, JSTR, STAR, SEXP (if im missing any im sure somone will post) | July 14, 2005, 9:45 PM |

Ringo | its the war3 demo, but it uses a differnt BN server to all the other clients | July 14, 2005, 11:58 PM |
UserLoser. | Off the top of my head, STAR/SEXP/D2DV/D2XP/WAR3/W3XP all have handling in their network libraries for NLS. IIRC, JSTR is the only client which cannot use SID_AUTH_CHECK | July 15, 2005, 8:28 AM |
