That's like saying it's addictive to have friends because once people do, they don't want to stop.

My take on this whole "net addiction" is that, while it is not clinical disorder, it is usually associated with disorders.  You probably don't have "net addiction" if you just use the internet a lot.  However, you might have problems if you refuse to go out with your friends because of it, or fantasize about being on the internet.  You might even have problems if it effects your life (ie. causing you to miss work, sleep disorders or rage).  When they say "net addiction" this is what they are really referring to.  If you just use it too much then you're probably fine.  If you're concerned about using it too much then create a small program for yourself to slowly decrease your time online.  Just keep in mind, the computer is a tool, not a hobby (this doesn't rule out programming or video games,  etc... as hobbies).

We're really putting out biased  opinions, I mean we're posting in a forum called: 'General Computing & Misc.' about some net addiction. If you spend 10 hours a day on the computer nearly everyday (including the summer) then you're addicted IMO. Get out of the house.

Generally the same for me...
Except when I'm doing chores or watching TV (which is only when something good is on)

Like I said, you're probably okay...you probably just use the computer too much.  Try decreasing your time on the computer everyday just slightly.  Exercise to keep yourself in shape man...getting extra muscle isn't really useful unless you like, I don't know, lift heavy stuff...  I don't suppose you lift heavy stuff no?

[/quote]I lift heavy stuff ocassionally.  I'm perfectly fine now, I'd just like to look better & have a bit more arm muscle is all.  Most of the work out my arms get is typing, turning pages, filing folders, etc...

I run/walk bike ride for legs & ocassionaly do situps but I've noticed I am loosing it around  the waist...I acredit this all to my laziness & the entertainment my computer gives me instead of working out.  Oh well, GO WILLPOWER!

You might like Benjamin Franklin's "The Art of Virtue," very rational indeed and perhaps will aid you in improving yourself further.
