What browser do you use?  If it's IE, double click empty box and it'll have dropdown list.  Move mouse over item and hit delete.  Otherwise if it's Firefox, go in options or whatever and clear form information.  If you're using another browser, oh well.  You shouldn't be searching for bad things on computers other people see ;)

Your instructions for IE6 don't work.  Are you sure you're correct?

Considering I just cleared mine, yes.  What's not working for you?

Nevermind, got it.  Thanks~

I thought when you brought the list up you were suppose to right click the item and hit delete, not the delete key.  :)

If you're trying to hide from your mom teh fact that you have been searching for porn on google, just go into Options and change History to zero.

Better yet, use the Opera browser since it's easy to clear your cache/history/etc and you don't have to worry about losing the cookies for forums which should be stored on Firefox (or... ie, I guess)

Firefox has several options for clearing that kind of stuff. Cache, cookies, saved passwords, Saved Form Information, History can all be cleared seperatly.

Yeah, but I like having auto-complete and saved cookies/passwords.  I don't use bookmarks, I use history, so having to lose that is annoying.

I don't use either. I remember the site's name, or google it again. Ineffecient, but it works. :)

Definately it is smarter to remember/google web site names and login info for forums/other cookie stuff.  I can't tell you how much of a pain it is when someone comes to me looking to login/find a web site that can't get to because they forgot their login name/password.
