BaDDBLooD | caught some crappies on lake waconia... nothing great | February 12, 2005, 5:45 PM |
Adron | How big are those? Should have something on the photo to give us an idea of size, like a hard drive or a floppy or a cd-rom or a pen or whatever.. | February 12, 2005, 7:26 PM |
iago | Don't you have a limit there? With a fishing license in my province, you're allowed 4 or 10, depending on how much you pay (4 = conservation) | February 12, 2005, 7:53 PM |
CrAz3D | 14 jacked-up looking fish. Cool! They taste good when eating? | February 12, 2005, 8:01 PM |
BaDDBLooD | 15 per person here, and we had two people. Just fillet'd them up... They were about 6-8 inches mostly. | February 12, 2005, 9:20 PM |
KkBlazekK | I can't go fishing right now :(, or I would. iago, do you know of a limit in ontario? | February 12, 2005, 9:40 PM |
iago | The rangers and stuff are part of "Manitoba Fisheries", which is provincial. I don't know how it's done in Ontario. | February 12, 2005, 10:05 PM |
BaDDBLooD | Going back out today... be back at like 3 in the morning. I'll post another picture if we catch any more. DADDY NEEDS A NEW PAIR OF SHOES! EDIT: <3 Iago | February 12, 2005, 10:26 PM |
iago |
I'll post another screen shot
Real life doesn't have a "screen". | February 12, 2005, 10:43 PM |
BaDDBLooD | Anyways, caught 11 more however no picture. They were all about the same size, 6 - 8 inches each. Things i need to do: Buy Gas Auger Buy a Lighter that actually WORKS Buy a new Latern and Heater that don't require horribly burning yourself Buy a bigger ice house, so i can actually stand up without ducking Last but not least, buy and use a chair instead of a bucket. Damnit my back hurts, i'm going to bed! | February 13, 2005, 9:19 AM |
QwertyMonster | Sounds like you had fun! :) Hope your back gets better. It seems vL forums have a pro fisher!! :P | February 13, 2005, 12:51 PM |
KkBlazekK | Ice fishing...... is fun! | February 13, 2005, 4:15 PM |
CrAz3D | HEATER!? What kind of non-fun stuff is that dood? It's all about freezing, I mean what if the freakin ice melts?! | February 14, 2005, 3:52 AM |
shout | Then you freeze. | February 14, 2005, 1:15 PM |

I haven't gone fishing in Manitoba for about 5 years, but I always go to Kenora in the summer :) | February 14, 2005, 6:29 PM |

DrivE | I was out fishing a few weekends back and pulled a 25 pound Dolphin out of the Gulf of Mexico, pictures to come. | February 14, 2005, 9:37 PM |
BaDDBLooD | HAHA Anyways, they were 8 - 9 inches, i remeasured them as i was filleting. Gonna cook them tonight =) | February 14, 2005, 9:55 PM |
DrivE | I never understood the intrigue of freshwater fishing, I don't get the same kind of fight I find in saltwater fish. | February 16, 2005, 1:23 AM |
CrAz3D | Lake fishing, THAT is nuts. I don't get how people have the patience to throw the line out & sit there for.....20 minutes. | February 16, 2005, 2:28 AM |
shout | I cant sit anywhere except in front of a computer or PS2 for more than 5 minutes. | February 16, 2005, 3:52 AM |
obviously you haven't done any real freshwater fishing! LOL :) Good ole Sturgeon, Pike, Musky, an Catfish...good fights. Plus you use lighter gear, so it's harder to bring the fish up. Actually, I agree, saltwater fishing is much better than freshwater. But when you don't live on the coast, freshwater is much easier and more convenient. My dad caught a 96 lb. Halibut a couple years ago in BC, now THAT was excitement! | February 16, 2005, 6:27 PM |
iago | Wow, best I've seen is a 26 pound jackfish (northern pike). Fishing at the lake at my cottage is the best. We've went for over 3 hours without catching anything. Of course, I don't fish there much anymore, usually just go canoing :) | February 16, 2005, 7:24 PM |
DrivE | My personal best was a triple digit Marlin... now there is a fight. | February 16, 2005, 8:14 PM |

One day when I have a decent amount of cash I'll take my dad on a charter to do some big-time fishing like that. I miss goin out to BC. We would trap crab and prawns, then clean and eat them fresh at the campsite. Then of course fishing for Salmon, Cod, and Halibut :) Good times | February 16, 2005, 8:46 PM |

Plus you have to have the right lures/bait and know where to fish, and where not to.. | February 16, 2005, 11:20 PM |
DrivE | I just have never been able to get much of a fight from any kind of freshwater fish. Bone Fishing in the flats of South Florida, there is a rush. Dragging Snook and big Reds out of the rocky shoals... there is a challange. Pulling in a massive Tarpon on a fly line, there's something not for the faint of heart. | February 17, 2005, 1:50 AM |
BaDDBLooD | When your fishing for like bluegills and all of a sudden a muskee takes your 5 poud test line, you get a nice thrill. | February 17, 2005, 3:40 AM |
iago | Wouldn't the line just snap? | February 17, 2005, 5:03 PM |

CrAz3D | That's one crazy game of poker there! I like fresh creek/small river fishing. We were back packing when I was 11? with the scout tropp when I caught my first fish. Gutted it & clean off the skin, cooked it in foil w/butter & lemon salt...WAY good. Could just peel the bone right out of the trout after it was cooked. | February 17, 2005, 11:18 PM |

Too bad I don't know anybody that likes to spend more than a minute outdoors :( Stupid lousy computers! | February 18, 2005, 6:16 PM |
CrAz3D | Word? We ran into some guy along the creek, he had caught his limit for the day + some so he gave us 2, since we were in a scout troop & had like 12 ppl. Way good fish | February 18, 2005, 7:08 PM |
BaDDBLooD | FUCK I had a friend of mine go pick me up two ice light fishing rod combos from Galyans. Of course he picks me out a Light and a Ultra Light. He said, "They were out of Light." FUCK, i wanted TWO FUCKING EXACT SAME RODS. FUCKING !#$@$@!$!@$!$ BEEP MOTHER @Q$@!$$@$!$@%@!% BEEP #%#%#@%#@%#@% SON OF A R#@%#@%#@#T#T STUPID MOTHER @%#@%#@% | February 22, 2005, 2:10 AM |
