peofeoknight | Look at the search prefs. IT LOOKS PRETTY DARNED SIMILAR TO GOOGLE (I mean the thing looks exactly the same with different colors). | February 1, 2005, 10:35 PM |

crankycefx | I believe that the rumor mill suggests they use similar if not identical algorithims. (msn vs google) Compare/contrast for yourselves. | February 2, 2005, 12:29 AM |

hismajesty | Microsoft used Googles current collection of pages to fill theirs. | February 2, 2005, 2:54 AM |
Stealth | A search for "linux" yielded fairly accurate results judging from my unscientific glance, but the auto-generated ads were three links to Microsoft websites bashing it or offering interoperability training with Windows. Interesting :) http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=linux&FORM=QBHP | February 2, 2005, 4:16 AM |

Mephisto | I think their search engine is going along pretty well, and I use it now and then. Too bad when you type in a Win32 API function in the search engine it doesn't bring up the MSDN documentation like Google does. I sent them a suggestion to do that but it doesn't seem like they've implemented it yet. ;) Also, MSN's search engine brough up www.valhallalegends.com as its first findings when you typed in "Valhalla Legends" along time ago. | February 2, 2005, 2:26 PM |
iago | I notice that "big evil corporation" no longer brings up microsoft.com like it did in the beta :( | February 2, 2005, 2:51 PM |
Intangir | http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=soulfire&FORM=QBHP soulfire comes up #1! instead of #7 like on google ;( damn you google! my soulfire is obviously the most popular and oldest one | February 3, 2005, 5:21 PM |
Yoni | http://www.google.com/search?&q=queueuserapc MSDN link: 1st hit (exact link I wanted) http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=queueuserapc&FORM=QBRE MSDN link: 7th hit (overview of some other topic) | February 4, 2005, 4:38 PM |
Mephisto | Yeah, MSN's search on API functions is terrible for bringing up MSDN documentation. | February 7, 2005, 3:43 AM |
Trance | Searching for DJ ieko (me) is #1 on both engines :P well atleast links related to me.. | February 7, 2005, 9:43 AM |
