Clan SBs was the technical support channel for StealthBot. It could be found on any of the four primary Battle.net servers.

History

Clan SBs was last created on June 1, 2006 by a team of technical support agents from StealthBot.net. Little is known about its days before that time. Prior to its current state, the clan was run on USEast and USWest by ex-admin Berzerker.

Closing

Following the opening of Battle.net 2.0, the number of users needing support with StealthBot drastically decreased. A decision was made to allow the channel to expire. All support activity is now handled on the Tech Support Forums.

Leadership

Clan SBs has been led by several individuals since its initial creation. While nobody knows the complete history of the clan, its most recently known leaders were, chronologically:

Technical Support

Users experiencing issues with StealthBot are encouraged to come to Clan SBs where they can be assisted by a technician. Issues regarding the scripting system or the beta will be redirected to the forums, as they are too difficult to support on Battle.net.

Please note that a technician is not always available. If no technician is available, you can either come back later or post on our technical support board. We have lives too, and can't always be around.

Additionally, while in the channel, users are expected to follow a few basic rules. Failure to do so will result in removal from the channel.

Rules and Regulations

While in any of the Clan SBs channel, we ask users to follow a few basic rules. These rules have been put in place to make the support process go as quickly and efficiently as possible. Failure to abide by the rules will result in removal from the channel.

  • Spam is not permitted. This includes using the channel for personal or irrelevant conversions, bringing multiple accounts into the channel, and generally anything else that isn't support. If you have any questions as to what may or may not be considered spam, please contact a technician.
  • Please don't attempt to provide support if you don't know what you're talking about. If you are found giving incorrect support, you may be removed from the channel.
  • Do not ask for CD keys and/or accounts. The trading of CD keys is illegal and will not be tolerated.
  • Do not ask how to spam, flood, load, or otherwise attack any other channel. These kinds of actions violate the Battle.net Terms of Service and are otherwise annoying.
  • Please refrain from using profanity. It's unnecessary in a support environment and may be found offensive to other users.
  • Be kind to the techs. They are volunteers who dedicate their valued time to helping you. They don't have to do what they do, they just choose to. Also, remember that even though they may not be there right then, they will still see what you say to them when they come back. Rude comments left will not make them want to help you and will most likely leave you blacklisted.
  • In order to prevent the impersonation of techs, the term *tech* is tag-banned from the channel. If you have *tech* in your username, please either change it before entering our channel, or contact us ahead of time so we can temporarily safelist you.

Membership

Membership in Clan SBs is restricted to StealthBot techs and high ranking officials only. Currently, no new techs are being accepted. Please do not ask to join.
